Chad Miles

Chad is a seventh generation American and a resident of Dearborn Michigan, relocating there after leaving the military. He has been married to his wife Renée since 1993 and they have four beautiful children; Gavin, Aiden, Ewan and Lillian. Chad holds a degree in political science (with distinction) from the University of Michigan, Dearborn. He attends Downriver Christian Community Church and is very active within his Church family. He plays bass guitar with the Church band on Sunday and is involved as a music mentor in the Church's youth worship band. Chad is also a drummer with a Christian rock band called "The King's Fishermen".

Business
Chad is the founder of the technology firm Magic Box, LLC and co-founder of the Melvindale based technology company Caelitus Group, LLC. As a web developer, technology consultant and small business owner, Chad has been involved in Internet development and analysis projects ranging from dot-com startups to classified government networks. He has been developing Internet based business solutions and conducting data analysis for over 10 years working with clients such as the State of Michigan, General Motors, Ford Motor Company, Concordia University - Ann Arbor, Henry Ford Community College, BFGoodrich Tires, Avery Dennison, Dow Corning, The Detroit Medical Center and Cellular One.

Military Service
Coming from a family with a long history of military service starting with the Union Army in the Civil War, Chad proudly served seven years on active duty in the US Army with nearly two years overseas in four different countries. He served two enlistments; one in the Infantry and the other in Military Intelligence. Chad served in the 82nd Airborne Division, the 2nd Infantry Division (South Korea) and the 5th Special Forces Group. He is a graduate of the Non-Commissioned Officers Academy and the US Army Intelligence School. Chad finished his military service as a sergeant (E-5) and was honorably discharged in 1997. Political / Activism
Chad was the 2006 Republican candidate for the 14th Congressional District in Michigan and is the founder and chief analyst of the ongoing website research project www.whoserved.com. WhoServed.com tracks the military service of members of the federal government including the Supreme Court of the United States, Congress and the President's cabinet. Chad is a former contributing editor for Defense Watch Magazine, a publication that deals with current military and national security issues and he has written regular articles for the Michigan Journal and the University of Michigan, Dearborn College Republicans. He also volunteers as the webmaster for The Veterans for National Security Foundation and is a former member of the University of Michigan, Dearborn College Republicans.
